we pick up the phone, read every word you send, and answer in plain English.

Insurance renewal breathing down your neck? Auditor’s letter on the desk? Or just a nagging feeling about that shared front-desk login? Pick whichever door suits you. Each one leads to a consultant, not a ticket number.

The lantern’s dimmed for now. Leave a note; it gets read first thing next business morning.

for once, your practice is the one filling in the clipboard

Five questions, no insurance card, no “describe your pain on a scale of one to ten.” Tell us roughly what you run and what’s worrying you, and we’ll come back with times for a free 20-minute scoping call.

Please leave patient details out of this form. We sign a Business Associate Agreement before we look at anything with a name on it — which, ironically, is exactly the sort of thing we’d flag.

a small triage desk, so your question finds the quickest route

№ 03 · is it really us?

how to tell a real zinc lantern email from a clever imitation

We spend our days writing convincing fake emails for clinics. It would be awkward if somebody did it to you in our name — so here’s exactly what we will and won’t do.

suspicious? call the number on this page →
  1. we only write from one domain

Real mail comes from @zinclanterngroup.com. Not a free webmail address, not “zinc-lantern-group,” not a domain with a sneaky extra letter. Squint at it. We’d be proud of you.

  2. we never ask for a password or code

No passwords, no multi-factor codes, no remote-access PINs — not by email, not by text, not even if we ask nicely. If “we” do, it isn’t us.

  3. drills only follow a signed letter

Phishing simulations run only after your practice owner or manager signs the engagement letter and agrees the campaign window. No surprise “tests” arrive out of the blue.

  4. our bank details don’t change by email

Invoices arrive as PDFs from appointments@zinclanterngroup.com. If a message says we’ve “moved banks,” it’s the oldest trick going — call (860) 377-0798 before paying a cent.

where the lantern hangs between engagements

Almost everything we do happens remotely, so your clinic stays exactly where it is. But there is a real desk in Colchester, a real kettle, and a whiteboard covered in firewall diagrams.
